The submission window for scholarships is currently closed. We will be accepting applications for Fall 2021 & Winter/Spring 2022 at the end of Summer. Please stay tuned for updates!


Scholarship Protocols for the 2020-2021 Academic Year


Thank you for your interest in our scholarship program!


Eligible students are encouraged to apply for scholarship assistance at The Musical Offering*.


Returning scholarship students in good standing will receive priority consideration. Good standing is determined by teacher feedback and attendance and participation in lessons and other MO events. Financial assistance is not based on merit. 


ALL students seeking financial support must submit the following materials by 

Monday August 17th 2020 via email to Rick Ferguson (

  1. Fill out the Scholarship Application Form here

  2. Submit a letter explaining the reason(s) for your request for financial assistance.

  3. Submit evidence of financial need.  Common forms of evidence could be any of the following:

    1. A copy of the first page of your most recent Federal Income Tax form

    2. Free or reduced lunch eligibility (current application and / or past grants)

    3. Food stamps eligibility

    4. Evidence of public assistance

  4. Participate in a musical interview with Rick Ferguson, MO artistic director.  Either:

    1. Participate in an interactive discussion including performance of a work in progress.


    1. Submit a musical statement about the student’s interests in studying at the MO and, for students with some experience, a recording of something they are working on.
