Scholarship Protocols for the 2025-26 Academic Year
Thank you for your interest in our scholarship program! Eligible students are encouraged to apply for scholarship assistance at The Musical Offering.
Returning scholarship students in good standing will receive priority consideration. Good standing is determined by teacher feedback and attendance and participation in lessons and other MO events. Financial assistance is not based on merit.
ALL students seeking financial support must submit the following materials by Tuesday, August 19, 2025. You may submit your documents any of the following ways:

Mail to The Musical Offering at 743 Custer Ave. Evanston, IL 60202 (we must receive in the mail by Tuesday, August 19)

Drop off in-person at the drop box on the wall behind the desk in the lobby of the school.

Fill out the Scholarship Application Form here

Submit a letter explaining the reason(s) for your request for financial assistance.

Submit evidence of financial need. Common forms of evidence could be any of the following:

A copy of the first page of your most recent Federal Income Tax form

Free or reduced lunch eligibility (current application and / or past grants)

Food stamps eligibility
-
Evidence of public assistance

Participate in one of the following:

Preferred: Arrange a time for your student to have a musical interview with Rick Ferguson, MO Director, by emailing rickfersonmo@gmail.com. Be prepared to play a piece of your choice for Rick and to discuss why you enjoy studying your instrument at the MO and why lessons are important to you.

Create a video audition consisting of one piece of your choice and a brief statement of why you enjoy studying your instrument at the MO and why lessons are important to you​
