Current COVID-19 Protocols (Updated 04.06.2022)

*PLEASE NOTE: THIS POLICY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME

 

General Policies

​​

  • If you test positive for COVID-19, you must stay home from lessons for 10 days. You may still have your lesson virtually if you are feeling well enough or reschedule for a different day/time.

  • If the student does not attend school on the day of their lesson or class due to illness or the school’s COVID-19 policies, they may not attend their lesson in-person at the MO. 

  • Students, faculty, and staff must stay home if they are experiencing any COVID-19, cold, and/or flu symptoms, or are not feeling well.

  • Students, faculty, and staff must stay home from lessons for 5 days and monitor symptoms if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. According to the CDC, close contact is defined as an individual not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. Please get tested before returning to lessons if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.

  • COVID-19 symptoms are similar to our seasonal illness. These symptoms include:

    • Fever (100.4 or higher)

    • Cough

    • Congestion

    • New onset of moderate to severe headache

    • Shortness of breath

    • Sore or scratchy throat

    • Chills

    • Runny nose

    • Vomiting

    • Diarrhea

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Fatigue from unknown cause

    • Muscle or body aches from unknown cause

  • All lessons not attended in person due to illness will be either completed remotely at the scheduled time or rescheduled at a mutually agreed upon time either remotely or in person. 

  • If a student comes to an in-person lesson or group class with any symptoms of illness, the teacher may send the student home.

 

 

Policies for On-Site Private Lessons

 

  • Masks are optional to anyone on-site at the Musical Offering including teachers, students, staff, families, etc. However, teachers may continue to require masking during private lessons or group classes. If your teacher is maintaining the masking requirement, this will be communicated to you

  • The Pink studio, blue studio and Pod are now open for lessons--The max capacity for each studio is 2 people 

  • Students (and everyone on-site including teachers/guests) must wash hands upon arrival, and right before they leave

  • We no longer have a teacher maximum on-site as all studios are now open

  • disposable masks are available on-site

  • The lobby is now open with no maximum capacity.

  • There will no longer be temperature checks at the door or wellness waivers required---But please stay home if you're not feeling well, have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19

  • Everyone can now enter through the Custer Entrance (main lobby) regardless of where your lesson is located 

  • The entrance off of Madison is now closed (Madison Room students can enter through the lobby off of Custer). The Madison Room door (closest to Madison) is to remain closed at all times during lessons.

  • Teachers have been given an option to teach remotely, on-site or a mix of both. If your teacher is teaching 100% remotely and you wish to learn on-site, you will not be able to transfer to a different studio after you've registered with your current teacher for a specific session. All scheduling whether on-site or remotely will go through your teacher directly


Policies for Group Classes​

  • Masks are optional to anyone on-site at the Musical Offering including teachers, students, staff, families, etc. However, teachers may continue to require masking during private lessons or group classes. If your teacher is maintaining the masking requirement, this will be communicated to you

  • All on-site group classes will be held in the Madison Room--all students will enter through the Custer entrance (main lobby). The Madison Entrance is closed and the Madison door will remain closed at all times.

  • We no longer have a teacher maximum on-site as all studios are now open

  • disposable masks are available on-site if a student arrives without a mask

  • There will no longer be temperature checks at the door or wellness waivers required---But please stay home if you're not feeling well, have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19

  • Family Members/Parents of students may wait in the lobby (4 person max capacity)

  • Students must wash hands upon arrival and immediately after class

  • Group Class teachers will oversee that students stay socially distanced and in their marked spaces

  • Group class teachers will wipe down shared surfaces after the class has ended

  • All Group Classes will be held on-site in the Madison, unless our website specifically lists it as a remote class (i.e. Zoom Jazz Theory, etc)

 

​Policies for Rentals

​​

  • The Blue and Pink Studios are now available to renters with a 2-person max capacity

  • The String and Yellow Room are closed to renters and only available to MO teachers at this time

  • The Madison Room is available for rental based on availability (first priority goes to MO teachers)

  • There is a 25 person capacity in the Madison Room.

  • Masks are optional to anyone on-site at the Musical Offering including teachers, students, staff, families, etc. However, teachers may continue to require masking during private lessons or group classes. If your teacher is maintaining the masking requirement, this will be communicated to you

  • We will not require temperature checks or wellness waivers from renters but please stay home and encourage your guests to stay home if they're not feeling well, have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive

  • All guests and renters will enter through the Main Lobby (off of Custer)--the door off of Madison is to remain closed at all times

  • Any equipment in the room upon your arrival cannot be moved

  • There is hand sanitizer, disinfectant and wipes on property

  • The kitchen is closed to renters and guests
