Lucas Burr, Voice & Piano

Multi-instrumentalist and Tenor vocalist Lucas Burr is an active performer in the Chicago area and recently earned his Masters of Music in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy from Carthage College where he is also an adjunct voice professor. Before that, he taught choir and adaptive music at Ben Franklin Middle School in Fargo, North Dakota after receiving his Bachelor of Music from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota in Vocal Music Education.

In Chicago, Lucas is currently working with Kokandy Productions on their upcoming production of Amélie. While in the Fargo/Moorhead area, Lucas sang with the Fargo Moorhead Choral Artists and performed in multiple region musicals with Straw Hat

Theatre (The Prom, Dogfight) and ActUp Theatre (Side by Side by Sondheim). Lucas has also served as a co-director and music director for two musicals (25th Annual County Spelling Bee, Godspell) and music director/Composer/arranger for an original play (Darling) in the non-profit community theater organization he founded with his father in his hometown - Little Falls Theatre Company.

Lucas brings a wide range of skills from his experience in classical choir, vocal jazz, musical theatre, rock bands, and more to his studio. In lessons, Lucas strives to establish a collaborative relationship between teacher and student and enable singers and musicians to understand the science behind their sound in order to make their own musical choices as artists, musical athletes, and humans.
