What do you love most about composing music?
The balance between theory and creativity.

Tell us a little about your winning IYWCC composition.
I was inspired by the Dmitri Shostakovich - Waltz No. 2. I am always obsessed with waltz and have taken this as my reference for many of my pieces. Garden Dream is a milestone which the quality is improved significantly, compared to my old pieces. 

What was your process/approach to composing your piece for IYWCC?
I put multiple melodic lines in the app and choose one of those after receiving feedback from my teachers and peers. Analyzing the reference in chord, groove, intervals, and apply them to my own piece.

What is your advice to someone who is interested in composing a piece but does not know where to start?
Start with the genre of music that you like.
