What do you love most about composing music?
I love to compose music that expresses my emotions and I like to make my compositions based off of a scenery or landscape.

Tell us a little about your winning IYWCC composition.
The beginning melody of my composition reminded me of a snowy evening and I decided that I wanted to make it sound like you're playing in the snow. The beginning is when you first arrive at a snowy pearly field, the middle is when you play around in the snow, and the end is when you have to leave (sadly).

What was your process/approach to composing your piece for IYWCC?
Originality is one thing I value in music, so I composed a piece that I felt suited me but also connected with others who listened to it.

What is your advice to someone who is interested in composing a piece but does not know where to start?
Start with basic composing and listen to other pieces. You should always listen or watch other examples if you want to grow!

My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love the Christmas spirit and all the festive decorations and lights and the traditions. 🎄
