"The Musical Offering is a collaborative and creative environment that I look forward to participating in multiple times a week. I consider it to be a home away from home - somewhere I can be myself creatively and musically."

Together, we are doing exciting things in the Evanston community and beyond.

And we mean together…because it’s you—our students, parents, donors, and other friends of The Musical Offering—who are making these remarkable achievements possible. Your support now is vital so we can continue to bring vibrant artistic and educational programming to life.

In the past year:

  • 172 students have received exceptional music instruction from accomplished, gifted musicians/teachers.

  • Students have attended tuition-free studio, musicianship, and composition workshops.

  • Over $7,800 in scholarship funding has been awarded to 21 enthusiastic students in need of assistance.

  • The fall Composition Festival broadened students’ creative horizons and offered a unique chance to showcase their talents. The winter Bach Festival emphasizes the importance of Bach as a foundation of most of the music written in the last 500 years.

  • Musical Offering high school students coordinated, wrote, cast, directed, marketed, and performed the original musical Breadway Bound, the success of which was recognized in the local press.

  • Our students have played in 14 performances at The Musical Offering and various community venues.

  • We’ve connected to the greater Evanston community through partnerships with Chute Middle School, where Artistic Director Rick Ferguson helped students develop and perform a multimedia concerto, and Y.O.U., where voice teacher Dominic German is leading a student chorus.

  • 12 Music on Madison concerts have been presented, with free admission for students.

  • Our stunning new website and efficient online registration system have gone live.

  • Jessie Bond was hired as Managing Director and is now the highly capable, friendly, and accessible face of our administration.

At The Musical Offering, we cherish working together to create these musical performances and educational opportunities. But we need you to be part of our team, because we can’t do this work without your support. In fact, one of our most fundamental and necessary sources of revenue is the generosity of individual donors who believe in our mission. Donors just like you.
