Junior MO Show 2024: 'My BFF is an Alien!'
The Musical Offering's musical theater training program for students ages 10-14 who are interested in exploring and developing their musical (vocal and instrumental), acting, and stage presence skills. This year's original musical will be directed by MO faculty members, AJ Buegel and Lucas Burr, and created/written by Howard Godfrey (of ETHS, King Arts, and Musical Offering fame and currently a student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston). In the tradition of our high school "MO Show" annual production, students will be involved in bringing to life all aspects of the show, culminating in a final live performance at the Devonshire Theater in Skokie.
Performance: Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 7:00pm
Location: Devonshire Cultural Center (4400 Greenwood St. Skokie, IL)

My BFF is an Alien Synopsis
Jessie Taylor had just started the 7th grade and is totally obsessed with outer space. However, his peers mock him for his out-of-this-world interests. One night while looking at the sky through his telescope, Jessie sees a UFO fall from the sky and rushes to the landing site where he befriends a young alien named Yultik. After local authorities discover Yultik's ship, the town begins to panic, as they fear an invasion might be headed for Earth. Jessie takes Yultik under his wing and shows them how to live as a normal kid on Earth until they can find a way to get Yultik home.
